Amsterdam, The Living Museum

Ronggowarsito, famous poet of Java, realized the importance of the correct preservation of the old building as a monument of historical traces of a city. The existing old buildings in a town very dear when left to crumble so debris, because of the old buildings, many of the legacy could be excavated. Not just from history that sticks to the walls of the old, but also the culture, including the city's public building design in the past.
One of the very old buildings and keeping the Netherlands is. Set foot in this cheese-producing country, we like the cast to the past, like get into the history books themselves.

Of the many cities in the Netherlands, which is perhaps most amazing is Amsterdam. As far as the eye can see, the city's scattered buildings or monuments chic preserved although other functions can vary. There are at least 8,000 monuments are preserved by the Government of Amsterdam. No wonder the city with thousands of monuments is nicknamed "The Living Museum".
The Government of Amsterdam have specific policies that protect everything that smells of monuments, not just old buildings but including areas of Amsterdam, Yes, the scenery, the Canal, and the structure of the city itself.

All the buildings could serve just about anything as long as it is treated in accordance with the regulations, either by the Central Government as well as local. So don't be surprised if you see the old building there that serves not only as a museum but also as a hotel, stores, apartments, schools, offices, restaurants, or entertainment venues such as bars, cafes, and even a prostistusi.

There are about 20,000 building on of land 800 hectares which created history in the Centre of the city. A third building was comprised, among others, the warehouse building, churches, palaces were built before 1850. As many as 6,700 buildings fall into the category of national monument, the historic buildings which are now preserved by the Central Government. There are 290 's buildings and other monuments that are maintained by the Government of Amsterdam while other buildings followed in 1,160 in that category.
The fourth single from Amsterdam canals, the Herengracht (or Heren Canal), Keizersgracht, and Prinsengracht "your memory will be floated to the corner of West Jakarta and North. In what is called "Old Friends", the Netherlands does indeed build everything similar to Amsterdam. But alas, the canals and the old buildings and the old town district of Jakarta just left so murky area while waiting for an old building collapsed all.

That must be so proud because Amsterdam is one of the important historic buildings have completely untouched the hands of ignorant or even torn down. The preservation of old buildings and neighborhoods that produce thousands of travelers who come to the city to tour the history.

Because of his love for the monument, on what was the legacy of the past, a Board member of the Amsterdam to exchange ideas mengegolkan stone from Dam square (de Dam) to eight cities around the world, including Jakarta. They also have a special board members who take care of the matter of monuments and public spaces, namely Guido Frankfurther.

The projects in this guide Guido Frankfurther managed to raise the nine Nations in the field of Wittenburger (Wittenburgerplein), Amsterdam. They inaugurated the project shift from eight cities in the world, named after Moving The World.
The idea of uniting bongkah-bongkah Stone Road in the page field of the eight cities in the world it comes from two workers of art, Fenna Swart (Netherlands) and Joseph Scorselo (America). The stone that is moved is the usual stone graced the courts in the cities of the world. The eight selected city is a city that has a historical connection with Amsterdam, the Casablanca, Ankara, Athens, Cairo, Oslo, Copenhagen, Antwerp, and Jakarta.

Finally the shipment and delivery of the former stone beam above even so art project that condoned the Amsterdam Council members, especially those dealing with public spaces and monuments. The eight corners of the wind was chosen as the symbol of multicultural Amsterdam. It also describes the relationship that owned the Amsterdam Netherlands in particular and generally with the country that his city was selected.

In Jakarta, the original stone blocks of Amsterdam's itanam in the field that is page Fatahillah Museum the history of Jakarta. Implementation of the planting took place late last March. With tertanamnya stone, millions of human footprints passing by in Amsterdam since 1974 were embedded there.

The City Of Vienna ' Codes '

The era of the cold war has been over for quite a while, but it was the presence of the secret agent dl Vienna-capital of Austria — the first being the ' gateway ' between the West and the East, are believed to be still evident to this day.
Do the ' investigation ' of the truth of the issue about the still large number of secret agents who perform a spy in Vienna do not serve the purpose of visiting the city famous for its classical music composer composer-this, but making it as a stopover after witnessing the event lively annual carnival Venice, Italy before continuing on to Budapest. The capital of Hungary which is directly neighboring Austria.
If you pay a visit to the city that is located only 20 km from the border with Hungary travel agency, usually you will only be asked to visit the tourist attractions like Schonbrunn Palace, the Wurstelprater, Habsburg Palace with his Michaelerplatz, famous shopping centers or the Kohlmarkt. Moreover, you will be given the knowledge of the public that things in the city that is irrigated by the river Danube is situated various representative offices of organizations such as the United Nations, IAEA and OPEC as well as the fact that some of the classical music composers such as Mozart, Bach and Beethoven never pursue his career here until his name is well known to date, plus the existence of some classical-style grand opera houses are scattered in various parts of the most populous cities in Austria, which has a population of nearly 2 million.

In addition, if you've been to here, there must be a little taste of Viennese kangen Java Coffee a distinctive flavorful plus a few pieces of real Austrian pretzel that goal it feels different to similar cake made in Germany. Coffee is usually served on a small silver-colored tray, equipped with a small piece of biscuit and a glass of creamer. By paying the price of a cup of coffee that range between EUR 2-7 (1 Euro is approximately Rp 12,000.-), you can sit in the cafe lingered. No wonder that in most cafe in Vienna (and also in most other cities in Europe), common people sat in cafes for hours with just buying a cup of coffee while reading the newspaper or a book.
I so remember the story of Franz Kolschitszky, who is in charge of Russia's secret agents spied on the Turkey in the 17th century, where he paid his task in running with the use of coffee beans, the thing that made her decide to open a ' coffee house ' in the Centre of the city of Vienna as a camouflage of secret activities. The trough was later home instead became the forerunner of the presence of cafe in Austria.

Vienna is the gateway to the East. It was never used by the secret service as the headquarters. But if you ask about the truth of the issue number of secret agents who roam in Vienna today, the majority of the population would justify it (while talking quietly, as if afraid of anybody hearing).

Try walking toward the Kärntner Strasse, the site devoted to pedestrians, where there are some of the major museums of Vienna like Naturhistoriches Museum and Kunsthistorisches Museum and one of the most popular opera houses across Europe-Staatoper. Here, the suggestion about the secret agent will already possessing a heart. Spooky atmosphere feels powerful. This place seems filled with secret codes. One of them ... the code of conduct in the dress.
Right across from the hotel, there is a Staatoper reference the bigwigs and celebrities of the world, the Hotel Sacher. At the hotel who has been flying the flags of different countries on the front of this building, an important political event occurs frequently, as well as a haven for celebrity infidelity and well-known figures from other worlds. Even during his lifetime, dictator Adolf Hitler-Germany-is one of the regulars was founded in 1876 by Eduard Sacher's.

If you intend visiting the Hotel Sacher, may just want to SIP a drink at the bar while looking at photos as well as the signature of the famous people who've been to there that were displayed on the walls of the bar, make sure you dress smartly. If not, there's a chance you'll be hurt once, denied entry to a hotel just because of casual-dress sweaters plus jeans and sneakers.
Of course you can buy a set of haute-couture clothing on sale at one of the shops that are on the ground floor of almost every ancient building are lined up along the road, the Philharmoniker Strasse Hotel Sacher stands. Most of these stores are selling upscale fashion. If you are wearing one of the products that were purchased there, certainly doorman Hotel Sacher will change attitudes. But make sure too that the bag You can afford it, because it never mind the fashion goods that cost thousands of euros, saw a brooch in the shape of a miniature gold-plated biota are made in handmade, made quite a wide-eyed. EUR 990!

The first choice to fill the stomach very clearly, Rosenberger! A Victorian building located in the still-Maysedergasse Kärntner Strasse--which provides about 50 types of food buffet-style, ranging from appetizers, main courses and desserts at a price of EUR 23 per person.
Last but not least, there is one habit you can do while traveling anywhere as well, namely the ' examine ' fill hotel rooms that You inhabit. Rather than suggest that you worry in case there is a secret hole commonly used by the intelligence services to spy on someone, but you might be lucky to find a variety of unique objects (the author never found one sheet lecek fractional money 100 Pounds behind the mattress bed at a hotel in Paris-red.) which could be taken as a souvenir or gift shop or just a keepsake for yourself, for example a piece of paper inside one of the drawers shabby desk that reads : "tee-house creed in the shadow and wine for 2 wasn't enough when 5 were coming". Whether it's a secret code? It may just be.

Bournemouth City, one of the greenest and cleanest

In the southern region of East Dorset, United Kingdom, located the city Bournemouth, a town not less renowned city with a ball like: London, Manchester and Liverpool. Based on existing data 5.5 million foreign and local tourists each year visit the city.
There is one reason why they flocked here, besides the city of tours, the city was awarded as the cleanest and greenest city in the United Kingdom, even in 1998 the magazine Harper predicts as the cosmopolitan city terkeren.

Then ditempatkanlah here a Department of taxes, named Louis Tregonwell, who then bowled natural valleys will Bourne, since then his wife started buying a plot of land and build a House here. Along with his wife also planted pine trees that spread the smell fresh when the wind blows. Gradually in the days of Victoria, the Bourne Valley evolved with the building of the settlement population, public facilities, grand park and the boulevard.
City planning combined with stylish consists of 3 aspects, beaches, parks and shopping centers. As a coastal city who got the nickname "the queen of the south coast. Has the Golden Sands, surfers are targets of which there are 250,000 per year. Long Beach 19.6 km, always patrolled by helicopter from young life guard and baywatch. (kokiers don't expect met Pamela Anderson here)

Exactly in the middle of the beach stands the pier which was built in 1855, which was deliberately destroyed in World War II, to avoid Germany troops docked here. Here grows with the exuberance of the towering Palm trees and other large trees, to cool the city. Children who seem to compile this, at the top there is an aviary show off the pretty birds.

The central part of the Park is the central point, filled with colorful flowers anaka asri, with torn clear Creek complete with duck-duck as its inhabitants. Along the banks of the river is the long benches where relax, play mini golf and several ice cream kiosk, the Bournemouth eye, is a hot-air balloon ride this attraction visitors can see the whole city from the air.

While the Beales is an independent store Dept. and widest, coupled with other shops known as High street.

For those who like to visit the museum there are many options for example: The Casa museum, Margi was the home of author Mary Shelley Frankestein. The Rothesay Museum, specialized on marine. The Teddy bear museum or The Bournemouth aviation museum that is located near the airport.

The success of this city could not get the cooperation of local communities and local government, which is obliged to keep the neighborhood together, as well as the hard work of local government which has lose discipline of troops duty town layout and cleanliness every day throughout the year.

Lucerne, The Classic Beauty Of The Ancient City

Lucerne, Lucerne, Lucerne, or all of the official name, depending on what language we use. Interesting hints of this sort can be found when we travelled to Switzerland but does not carry as well as tourist brochures.

At first the town was only a small fishing village, located on the West Bank of Lake Lucerne. However, since the year 840, Hillbilly named Lucaria began to enter into the historical record. This name refers to the figure of St. Leodegar, Catholic clergy, who founded a monastery on the spot at around the year 700. Gradually, Lucaria later changed to Lucerne. From a hamlet of fishermen eventually grew into a large town.

These developments occurred after the Gotthard Pass, a road was built across the Alps, was opened. Location of the town was later changed to very conveniently located on the trade route between the Rhine Valley in Southern Germany and Lombardy in Northern Italy.
In 1332, Lucerne has prospered, joined in a Confederation of three canton (State), the founder of the early federal countries Switzerland. Prosperity is increasingly felt, after the road water transportation held here.

The picturesque town on the banks of the Lake is in fact finally also connected with the railway line. Be a trading city of Lucerne as well as tourist destination.

Lucerne indeed abound all sorts of natural beauty. With a background of snow cover on all year, and this means that for the next four seasons, always seem to adorn the top of the Alps. While the expanse of Evergreen forest surrounding the town, combined with the clear water of the Lake is blue sparkle.

Despite its location far inland and Switzerland in the middle of mainland Europe, Lucerne every time fishing the influx of hundreds of thousands of travelers from all over the world. They are equipped with all the beauty of sightseeing water on Lake Lucerne, Lake covering an area of 38 square kilometers which merges with the Lake of Uri, to get to the rugged stone wall of hills in the Alpine region.

The Oldest Wooden Bridge

One of the main sights of Lucerne is a wooden bridge which spans the River Reuss. The bridge in the middle of the city known as The Chapel, built in 1333 and is believed to be the oldest wooden bridge in the world.

For more than seven centuries, the bridge is already several times (last 1993) diamuk by a blaze. Every time a fire broke out, the local government then drop hand restorer.
This bridge can always seem intact and never seem to have deterred and felt was able to survive, although all the pillar that inundated for hundreds of years.

"This is the symbol of constancy attitudes of Lucerne, always timeless and want to improve themselves," says Christine, the girl guide, explains with a tone of jaunty.

Although the course of history have made most of the buildings in Lucerne began to seem old result with age, thus travelers can enjoy the serenity and beauty of the classic charm of the life of the community in an outback town of Europe.

On the other hand, the Lucerne is also trying to beautify themselves, without leaving the old one. The city can display traits of modern people's life, complete with all sorts of perniknya.

In 1971, the great fire devours Lucerne train station. In the former location of the fire, now stands a magnificent complex of buildings that is named the Luzernersaal. A combination of the concert hall, the Convention Center, as well as art galleries.

The complex's main building is the work of French architect, Jean Nouvel. Combined with the design of the inside of the building by the original United States, acoustic expert Russel Johnson.

Today, not only the former have no fire left. The complex is then instead appears as a benchmark reference materials, as well as guidelines in the building, to build a similar complex in all corners of the world.

Of The Order Of The Jesuits

Sunday morning in early July, I was awakened from sleep by the sound of a dozen bells, thundering sound with the rhythm of the hard penetrating into the hotel room. With his eyes still half asleep, Christine reminded, "Lucerne is a city built by the Federation of Switzerland as an example of the Catholic city, in order to meet the Convention's recommendations of Trent 1545-1563".
Not just Catholics, even in the beginning, the management of the city is specifically given to the Jesuit Order. Thus, a number of churches present in Lucerne blatant. Every Sunday, the Trade Center turned quiet because of the CAP.

"We've had six days of work, not being willing to cook one day we submit it to scrape the creator?" said Christine seriously.

The community of Lucerne since centuries XVI to build special education center of the order of Jesuits and equip it with a variety of additional buildings. The peak of the activity they finally make it work and founded a church dedicated to St. Franciscus Xaverius (1506-1552). The special construction of the Church began in 1666 and was completed eleven years later.

Nowadays, not only the meaning of the building in history to be important as it commemorates one of holy figures in Catholicism is well known, St. Franciscus Xaverius, who had once worked in Malaya, Ambon, Ternate, to mainland China. For the general public, Church architecture is very interesting because it marks the trail of Baroque style, which was never recorded in its own impression in the world of architecture.

In the book Die Kunstdenkmaler des Kantons Luzern, Adolf Reinle describes, "a building really is a work of a genius ..."
Don't overdo praise. Of all the Baroque style church building at the North and South of the Alps, the Jesuit Church in Lucerne occupies a special position. Its unique, enchanting bangunnya design is rendered with the following skills a prime details.

So the impression from the outside. Moreover, on the inside, preserved many ancient paintings and sculptures are indeed very beautiful.

Lonely Planet? No Thanks

That time I went to town on his own. In addition there are Affairs of all want the roads to Kungsträdsgården and kelayapan, as if a Gamlastan tourists and also never watched the tourists, while looking at both sides might find an interesting image to be able to add to my collection of pictures. Delish when the road in his city alone, I don't need to bring a map, language is not a problem, just the same on prices, possibly fooled too tiny. Haha ...

My knowledge of Stockholm is reasonably passable until I was able to follow the development of inflation, now if you want to use the toilet at Central Station I know the fare has gone up to 10 Swedish kronor, means 15 thousand dollars! Oooallahhh, lha nek kebacut kebelet ning then wis nggawa kepriye? gek hold wallet (how about a trigger kebelet but forgot to bring my wallet).
Roving in my town, I do not need the book ' lonely planet ' as usual I bought if more travel to the place-a place that I had never visited before. But though the town itself, I have always been and remain wary of pickpocketing, especially in summer. Many newcomers (posing for tourists) from outside of Sweden that his work went round to different countries just to pickpocketing. I am more careful when being in the crowd and people mill about, like for example if you want to ride hopper Tunnelbana (Subway).

In summer this year a lot of Indonesia society living in Sweden and especially living in Stockholm and go to the land of water. Including my wife who is also a follow-up to Jakarta for 5 weeks. In fact, the few weeks I stayed alone at home, when my children were small (though already 24 years old) went to Japan for 2.5 weeks to visit her sister who finally complete the task again in Osaka the Union.

At the beginning of July, I got an envelope addressed to me without the sender's name. After I open it, it turns out there's a piece of paper saying, among other things "Janto, today I went to Indonesia. Maybe this card you can manfa'atkan. Greetings and see you again and REPLY, marked ". Along with a note, attached to transport local subscription card which is valid for 30 days (which is still in the remaining 25 days), wow ... Makasih kang WROTE, hehe ... Delish's got a lot of friends.
Public transport is relatively expensive in Sweden, the card that I can from kang WROTE if I Exchange to the rupiah, the price is nearly about 1 million Usd and is valid for 30 days. There are at least 10 times if I go to the city using this subscription card. Without the card, by buying a retail coupon I have to pay p/p 60 Swedish Kronor (around 90 thousand Usd) go to my home town from which the distance is only 18 km. Expensive right? Whereas if car sharing, should I pay ' toll ' sign in the city area and besides that still need to be relatively expensive parking fees.

The cost of parking in the central area of the city is expensive as hell, fare approximately Skr 20 (30 thousand Usd) per hour. This road into the parking lot, if in fact there is a parking lot building are up to Skr 50:-/jam. I did not dare try to not pay parking, kapok lombok. If only we didn't pay for parking and to forfeiture, hiks ... big late fee asked for mercy, Skr 600 (nearly 1 million Usd)!

When I lived alone in my home, niati to really become a tourist attraction. Early in the morning I was leaving from home and often without a goal, with bread and drinking water. If I use the car to go, do not miss I bring a tripod and sometimes even had time to bring the flask contains coffee. Never forget is a backpack with a camera in it along with some lenses.
Interestingly if I was in the middle of Stockholm City, with the style exactly like a tourist, hat and shorts in the neck depends on the camera makes me often in sapa with United Kingdom language but I answer it often with Sweden. I thought idly, sometimes useless if I tried claiming not from Indonesia, although it had long been living in LN. Hehe ... so get sunlight briefly direct burning and my skin became increasingly dark and appears to be original. If it comes out with the use of the car, my goal often come out into the suburbs but the place is relatively close in meaning to travel less than an hour. The principle of my evening I've gotta get home again.

Many interesting sights that I can find, including the relics of times past in Uppland-Stockholm. A relic of the era of Vikings and small Kings in Sweden about 1000 years ago. Haha ... that I've become a tourist more than 2 months in my own city. Without the need to read the ' lonely planet ', without a confused search for lodging, no need to bother when to check-out, without the need to exchange money, fluent in locally and without the need for GPS. If you are a ' keblasuk ' in Stockholm, please contact me. Hehe ... a guide in Stockholm who speak Indonesia and Java! (Sstt ... but don't forget to bring a dime, coin 10 kronor for later if you at any time kebelet).
In the middle of Stockholm City, if you want to stay with the room clean, safe and cheap-festive, you can stay in a youth hostel in the sailing boat ' af Chapman ' which rests on the dock Skepsholmen. Hmm ... for example, for various reasons of this lack of fit, while your wallet is thin but with terselipkan inside the creditnya with several creditcards no limits please just walk 150 steps into the existing hotel, the Grand Hotel.

Outline, attracting a tourist in case kok city itself, please give it a try. From looking at the picture (uh ... don't directly satisfied and believe just looking at pictures I know) that I have managed to take in the summer this year, turned out to be not ugly-very ugly city or county that I live in. Haha and it feels as though the streets in LN.

The City Of Weimar, A Forerunner Of The Country Of Germany

In the old town of this beautiful Republic of Germany the first stand, after the fall of the monarchy (Kingdom). Not weird when the town was immortalised as the Weimar Republic, Germany's Constitution places designed and approved in 1919.

The old city is situated not far from Erfurt, capital of the State of Thuringen. Cities and towns in the former territory of the Democratic Republic of Germany (East Germany) became the birthplace of the humanist and philosopher Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832).

Indeed in the past that time, around the 1800s, Weimar became a center of intellectual life of Germany, even Europe. In this city, also incised gold works of Goethe, including works of termasyhurnya final version of "Faust".
Weimar is also home to philosopher Friederich von Schiller (1787-1789 and 1799-1805). Here Schiller wrote numerous works, among them "William Tell". In addition to the birthplace of the Bauhaus School of architecture, the city of Weimar has a diverse style of architecture, architecture of the 19th century until the Nazi era architecture and Socialist East Germany. Rococco style, the beauty of the palace buildings can be enjoyed throughout the summer. This place you can immortalize your travel arrangements during your stay in Germany.

However, of course you have to be strong enough mentally to endure the feeling gripped the former concentration camp.

Rosenfest Steinfurth

The "Queen of flowers" this shape is beautiful, charming, flower petals the colour is really pretty and it smells really fragrant. Roses or Rose, often referred to as a symbol of beauty and love. A man who proposes to his girlfriend feels more romantic when accompanied by roses. A wife is bound to her husband when awarding a flowery bunch of roses on her birthday, a patient will be at peace when his heart is in his room decorated with roses.

Rose also became a symbol of joy, at dinner parties that decorated the Roses will certainly feels more blissful. Roses can touch the soul, a bunch of white roses will bring peace to those who looked at it, the White Rose was also often symbolizing purity. Roses are often also depicts a young, full of freshness or also a girl who is still pure and beautiful. Well, that's an awful lot of beautiful phrases that can be symbolized in the roses.
In a variety of languages (such as romance, Greece, Poland) Rose means pink or red. Many countries or cities that use the rose as a symbol, as in the United Kingdom, Islamabad – Pakistan, and some countries in the Americas. In this world there are more than a hundred species of roses with variations of size, shape, color and even the scent or fragrance of the dipancarkannya.

In the summer of 2008 I visited an exhibition of roses, precisely in the town of Steinfuhrt, part of the territory of Bad Nauheim in Germany. The small town of Steinfuhrt, may be more appropriately called the village, where it is much cultivated roses. So many businessman or families have fields of roses whose results are sent to a number of major cities in Germany.

Every two years the Festival was held in the city of Roses (called Rosenfest). The Festival is followed by some entrepreneurs rose plants or other plants, the craftsmen, the arts/dance music group from various cities around them. In the Festival in the summer of 2008 and there are four different types of programs, namely: Rosenkorso, Rosenschau im Rosensaal, Rosenmuseum, and Rosenmarkt. Because this is a small town Steinfurth, a Festival and the location far from the stations in the Festival also included Rosenexpress, a special train was provided from the Convention Center to the city station in Bad Nauheim. Even though he pressed on the train but we are quite happy to see the beauty of the flowering rose that just this summer.

The year 2010 will be held plan Die Hessische Landesgartenschau (exhibition park) this in Bad Nauheim.

The highest peak in Germany

The Zugspitze is the highest mountain in Germany. As always happens each year in the northern hemisphere that has four seasons, the month of May is the beginning of spring. The morning was sunny enough air and it is the first day of our vacation in the city of Munich and its surroundings. The original plan for today we would just drive around the city because the kids were still tired from the long trip to Munich earlier in the day.

Over breakfast at the hotel, I was a fad open weather forecast in newspapers in the hotel lobby. It would be kagetnya it turns out fine weather on the Zugspitze in the week there is only on that day. Does this mean we should be to the Zugspitze that day? Gee, how? A few days ahead of the Summit will be foggy. If there is limited visibility, our trip would be in vain. The two of us, my husband and I, should immediately take a decision.

Finally we agreed to change the route of our holiday schedule. A visit to the Zugspitze, which again we will do on day two ' a ' forced ' ' changed that day. Catch up time, we hurry to change clothes. The kids protest while not we just ignore. Time to change into costumes of spring apparel became the longest winter clothes 10 minutes. The kids even had to change shirts total ranging from head to toe. Certainly we don't want the cold snowy thick in place on the Summit later.

Train ride of about 1.5 hours from Munich, we headed to a small town in the beautiful Alpine Valley of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The disappointment of children is enough to get by a beautiful view right left in successive train window. A typical view of the hilly part of southern Germany and rural houses decorated with different architectures with rural houses in other parts of Europe.
Arriving in Garmisch-Partenkirchen Bayerische Zugspitzbahn train station we headed, that is a special station which serves the route to the Zugspitze and surroundings which are commonly used for skiing. Price of the tour for one day in winter for adults is 36 euros, youth (16-18 years) 25.50 euro, children (6-15 years) 20 euro per person.

Visitors are allowed to determine its own one of several route options on offer. Winter rates apply only from October to mid-May. After months of May till the next winter, summer rates apply, i.e. about 25% more expensive than winter rates.

First we use the Zugspitzbahn, a regular electric train from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Grainau with travel time of approximately 30 minutes. At the station we should train with Grainau type Zahnradbahn railway, namely the Middle have additional special toothed wheels for mountain regions. Starting from Grainau is continuing to move up the ranks of rail lines with left-right view is fabulous.

Snowy thick large grassland, rural houses that have shape and ornamentation typical of the region of Bavaria, a row of evergreen trees that looked reams because the difference in height, roof-snow-covered mountain tops, as well as fro the cable that carries skiers swinging, really incredible views.

We went down near Eibsee, the highest railway station prior to the Zugspitze. Because it was too day, we didn't get to enjoy the beauty of the Lake Eibsee again while it is still frozen. Next we had to walk about 10 minutes to switch to Eibseeseilbahn station.

Eibseeseilbahn is the berkabin cable car is closed without a seat are used to crossing the chasm from Eibsee straight to the Zugspitze. The cable is capable of carrying up to 300 passengers per hour. With cable along the trajectory Eibseeseilbahn 4.450 m, built in 1962, it is the longest cable car in Germany.
Previously we got a bit upset because it was train cabin full of passengers. Never mind all the places near the window already filled meeting. How can we enjoy the scenery outside? But when looked up, into the path that will pass, my guts became slightly narrow. Destination look very far and very high. Oh never mind, we finally decided to stand in the Middle also does nothing, rather than having to wait for the next train.

Turns out to be true, so the train moves up my knees started shaking. Heart berdesir-desir horror and feel the muscles relax. I was a bit afraid of heights. In fact, according to the news, if not strong, passengers could be incontinent unintentionally. While standing with one hand hold the hanger (like in a city bus) and the other hand holding one of my children, I started counting in the heart: one, two, three .... Ouch, it seems like a long time ago.

In fact it might not for long time. With a speed of 36 km/hour, the train will come to an end in less than 10 minutes. Before leaving for my kids to give gum to be chewed to help their body adjusts to the changes of pressure difference in height in the ride.

Information from the clerk at the train in that the cable-powered 750 kilowatt main cable with a diameter of 46 mm and towing cables each with a diameter of 29 mm is capable of erasing bad thoughts about the possibility of a train going to fumble and sped free fall toward the craggy limestone reefs down there.

Until the goal, the train doors open. The wind blows more toned creates cold air feels more bite. Exit the train and suddenly my second child who is still a toddler down '. Eyes closed with a little mengejang. What is it? Whisper she said that her vision of spinning and he became dizzy. Perhaps the term Richness singunen. After waiting a few moments while you let the body adjust to the altitude, we slowly started walking the dismissal left the station.

In a few steps, we came on the terrace of the Zugspitze. We were greeted at the terrace view is fabulous. As far as the eye can see is the snow peaks along the Alps. The highest peak on the terrace it is marked as the highest peak in Germany with an altitude of 2.962 m above sea level.
Some binoculars available coins along the guardrail. Binoculars mounted on a mast as high as 1.5 m it will work for 3 minutes when accessed coins 1 euro.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen seems like a miniature city. The Lake Eibsee frozen looks more beautiful and dazzling with reflected light of the Sun in the distance. The tip-tops with white snowcapped mountains from about 400 top from four countries (Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Germany) make the hearts full of commotion swished. There is no word that can describe the beauty of his creation is.

Favorite Place Skier

At the peak of the Zugspitze, lies a bridge over 6 metres which connects the terrace where we stand with another terrace which is the area of the country Austria. To cross that bridge, I need a little time to gather his courage. Gorges left the bridge on your right looks creepy, as if being a gaping wide and ready to catch prey.

Right at the end of the bridge stood a sort of small stalls selling a range of souvenirs such as postcards, stickers, embellishments, glassware and refrigerator plugin plate small pictorial view of typical regional Bayern, stuffed with traditional Bavarian attire even for sale as well as various supplies such as body warmers scarves and sweatshirts hand. Do not miss, stall that also sold the drink body warmers favourite visitors, namely Gluehwein (wine with spices) sold 3 euros per 250 ml.

To get on the top of the Zugspitze, visitors can also use the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn cable car, a closed berkabin, which depart from the West of the city, i.e. from Ehrwald, Austria. Before the Schengen Treaty goes into effect, here there were checkpoints to cross border between Germany and Austria. Now the post it was not used again.

However, not every person who rises from the Germany could easily fall into the area of Austria and vice versa. When we will continue the journey, we come in at the wrong station. It turns out that station to another country, that is territory of Tyrol, Austria. Tickets guard officer describes with sufficient friendly that our ticket is not valid for cross country. There are special rules about it.

Enjoying views of the Zugspitze on the terrace we turned back to Germany and then went into the building's Muenchner Haus. There is a tourist information centre, photo exhibition and films about the Zugspitze, weather station, the panorama Cafe named ' 2962 ', a souvenir shop, there's even an active post office. Wow, great opportunity to send postcards to friends and family in Indonesia. Postcard with a special stamp Zugspitze.

Then we walked back to the station to descend to an altitude of 2,600 m on the Zugspitzplatt by using Gletscherseilbahn. Gletscherseilbahn is a cable car with a cabin covered a much smaller cable trajectory with a length of 995 m.
This new facility was built in 1992. The place just opened to the public in October to may is one of the few regions around the Zugspitze is used for track skiing and skateboarding. This is one of the favorite spots for those who love to ski.

As the highest skiing arena in Germany, on the Zugspitzplatt is equipped with a spacious open-air restaurant, that Restaurant Sonn Alpin. That restaurant is the only place for skiers take a break while the sun warms the body.

Up slightly from Restauran Sonn Alpin with quite a walking distance there is a small chapel which, according to its location is Germany's tallest Chapel. For some people, getting married in Germany it will be a romantic memories that will not be forgotten for a lifetime.

Located in the skiing area and a relief to make the kids happy to linger here. They were so enthusiastic to see skiers in action, take a closer look the ski equipment lined the front of the restaurant which was accidentally left behind by its owner for a short rest, spit-on snow beguling and running to and fro. Sunny weather that day really make the atmosphere became more and more cheerful.
